Gournia
Gournia submitted by AlexHunger : Gournia NW Platform at end of Courtyard. Gournia was a regional administrative centre of sorts in Eastern Crete south-east of present day Agios Nikolaos. It had a similar layout to other Minoan palaces, but was sited on top of a hill. (Vote or comment on this photo)

Gournia
Gournia submitted by 43559959 : Although closed at the time of visit, the view from outside permitted a good overall view of the comact nature of the site. (Vote or comment on this photo)

Gournia
Gournia submitted by sem : Mooring Post I found this placed on top of a pillar in the central courtyard. Judging by the way it has been eroded, I assume it was used to moor boats with and as there is no modern settlement nearby, I assume it is Minoan. (Vote or comment on this photo)
