Rock Cut Tomb in Lower Egypt (North)

The so-called Mountain of the Dead is one of the 2 hills in the Siwa Oasis in the Western Desert of Egypt though it rises to only about 10 Meters above sea level as the Siwa Oasis is actually 31 Meters under Sea Level. It was used for a series rock cut tombs of which there are 29 major ones and probably hundres of smaller ones. Only 3 tombs dating to the 26th Dynasty have surviving reliefts and paintings.
