Artificial Mound in Lithuania
An unmistakable and striking piliakalnis in a region counting plenty of such monuments.
After having gone through successive steps, the mound is listed as National Monument since 2005. Not found much information about it.
Signposted along road 2605 at (54.5067, 23.4430), from where Padovinio piliakalnis is visible and accessible (better on foot) on a field track. It is worth seeing it under various angles.
While there, pay a visit to the Rusijos karių kapinės (Russian WWI memorial), on a crest on the other side of the road : Russian WWI Memorial.
Visited June 2015.
