An early medieval hillfort is located on a gentle rise of the ground North-East of the village of Kanie. The fort has two rings of earthworks which are visible on most if its perimeter. The inner rampart encloses the area of 0.28ha, while the outer rampart encloses 1.3ha. Scarce sherds of pottery allow to date this monument for the late phase of the Tribal period (9th-10th century AD).
