Vandzenes akmens (Stone of Vandzene) submitted by Alta-Falisa : Pleasantly arranged site, easy to reach, rather well known, visited and photographed. Photo : June 2014. (Vote or comment on this photo)
The fourth largest stone in Latvia.

The stone had been demolished in former times by splitting pieces off its side ; that is why its form is irregular and angular.
Easily accessible.
Information board nearby. Also, signposted along the main (gravel) road, 200 m away.

Please create a special "Topic" heading for Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, for example "Baltic States" (like for BeNeLux). At the moment, all the sites are filed under various headings, and there are more site to come for Lithuania. I stress that "Baltic States" has only a geographical meaning.
