Misc. Earthwork in Swietokrzyskie

Łysa Góra is a mountain located West from village of Nowa Słupia. In early medieval period it was a sacred place of local Slavic tribes. The most significant remain of the worship of Łysa Góra is a large, oval bank surrounding top part of the mountain. It's particularly well preserved in the northern and eastern part of the mountain - in the northern one it's constructed entirely of stones, in the eastern part it's made of earth.

Łysa Góra is a very popular tourist destination, on it's top there is also a monastery, oldest part of which was build in 14th century. The early medieval bank is easily accessable by foot with a footpath leading to the top of the mountain.
