Ancient or Settlement in Ile-de-France:Val-d'Oise (95)

I first saw these sites in 1971 when I was managing the Grateful Dead. We lived for about two weeks at Chateau Herouville (Elton John's Honky Chateau). The owner Michelle Magne, told us the stones in his back yard were Gallo-Roman, but I knew they were at least Bronze Age. The village is located about 17 Km north of Paris just beyond Auvers. It has several undiscovered and unprotected sites peppered through back yards, all of them in the path of development.

Somebody needs to go there and get close-up shots. The park area behind the Chateau comprises about five acres and there is a stone circle plus outliers on that land. In addition at least one house has a stone in the backyard. A collapsed cairn, robbed in antiquity, can be seen in the middle of a diamond shaped surround wall and ditch at the edge of a plowed field.
