One of the largest early medieval forts in Mazowsze is located SE of the village of Nowe Proboszczewice. The earliest unfortified settlement was built here in 600-700 AD, while the large earthen fort was constructed in the 10th century AD. The oval earthworks have 130 x 110m dimensions and are surrounded with 6-8m deep ditch. The site survived in good condition.
