Lillberget submitted by ilsignorstano : Lillberget - Panoramic view of the area (Vote or comment on this photo)
Grave and settlement area, partially surveyed, approx. 180 x 120 m (NW-SE). Consisting of 6 oval settlement ditch, 2 irregularly rounded settlement ditches, 1 red ochre deposit, 1 flatland grave and 1 flatland grave.

Within the settlement there are finds of rubble, ceramics, artifacts and scraps of quartz, flint and rock crystal, greenstone and burnt bones. The oval settlement embankments are 13 x 10 m to 20 x 16 m (four WNW-SE to NW-SE and two ENE-WSW). The ditches are 3-7 m wide and up to 0.2 m high, made of sand, gravel and occasional stones. One of the settlement embankments has numerous stones, 0.3-1 m on short side. Four are built together on the short sides, while the other two are built together along each short side. Two settlement ditches have unclear outer boundary along 2-3 sides.

The flatland grave (?) Consisting of in tractor tracks and part of ditch edge; 0.3 m long red ocher strip 0.4 m wide, with backed quartz shavings, and a concentration of ceramics., 0.5 m diam, with a total of about 60 shards, 1 flint scraper, 1 round piece of partly black rock crystal and cut fragments of greenstone . There were also occasional rubble and quartz deposits on the site. During a small sample examination, 2 red-dark concentrations of 1.2 x 0.6 m and 0.4 m diam, a 3 cm large rock crystal piece, partly black in connection with the larger red-dark concentration, bone crumbs, about 50 ceramic pieces, a stone pack and 1 larger grinding wheel in greenstone with bevelled edges (?). Shards and scraps have been found in the embankments. In addition, ceramics of the so-called comb ceramic type, style II-1, which is described as "older typical comb ceramics", have been found in six of the settlement embankments. A small number and about 10 fragments report an ornament that clearly shows a relationship with "younger early comb ceramics" style I-2.
The settlement is crossed over in the E part by a forest road (N-S) as well as a road crossing and a road to the east. Adjacent to the (N-S) walking road, there are smaller quarries for sand on several surfaces.

A burial with skeletal remains and pots and waste pits were also found. The finds consisted mainly of ceramics (in addition to potsherds also clay figurines) but also quartz, including tools such as scrapers, sticks and drills, flint (tips, scrapers etc.), amber (pearls and pendants), greenstone (mainly North Bothnian tools) and burnt bones (mostly seals but also fish). C 14 dates: 3950 - 3500 BC.
