This site of rock carvings are actually four different sites some distance away from each other, but I will treat them as one whole site.
The first one is about 30 metres south from the local church, and is easy to find because of the footpath and the sign posts.
The carvings cosists of a number of animal carvings, mostly reindeer, but also whales and birds, bears and moose. The animal carvings are in a lot of different sizes, but most of them are small and very schematic. There are also some boat carvings and some strange geometrical figures.
The carvings are believed to be dated back to late stone age, about 3000-4000 BC.
The second site contains some carvings of reindeer and a geometrical pattern.
The third carving site contains animal carvings of reindeer, moose and bears, and also two carvings of humans.
The fourth lies in a beautiful place, right beside a small waterfall where a river runs out from a lake. The site is however in a bad condition, very eroded, and with only parts of the carvings visible. It is believed to be mostly animals like reindeer, but can be hard to tell, because of the bad state.
