A stone ship described on the 1:50,000 Swedish topographic map “TERRÄNGKARTEN 562 Fårö” as ‘skeppssättning’ (= ship (-shaped stone) setting), also appears in the digital map of RIKSANTIKVARIEÄNVTET (=Swedish National Heritage Board) only when it is enlarged in an adequate scale.
800m from the village of Lauter, this site lies in a bush beside the woody path. The ship is 3m long but the stones are short and missing in places, so almost sunk in the bush.
