The archaeological reserve in Wietrzychowice is protecting some of the best preserved long barrows in Poland. They were build in neolithic period by people of Funnelbeaker Culture.
The barrows have trapesium shape, the biggest ones are 150 meters long. The biggest stones are located in front part of the barrows, some of them have even 7-10 tons of weight.
Each long barrow contaied main burial for 1-2 people with offerings and some "satelite" burials, probably the ones of the slaves.
