A site of an Early iron Age settlement at the top of a hill called Młyńska Kępa was excavated by Bogusłąw and Bożena Chorąży in 1994. Around 400 sherds of pottery were discovered, alongside a sandstone tool and an iron knife. Some of these artefacts can date back to the Late Bronze Age, while the latest ones to La Tene period. The site has been heavily damaged by a 19th century quarry. On the slope of a hill remains of a possible furnace were discovered, suggesting a production site.
