Grodzisko in Moraczewo is one of the most impressive hillforts of Wielkopolska. It is located on a small hill near the road to Lednogóra and is in perfect condition. The site is dated for early medieval period, possibly 8th century AD. The hillfort is divided into two sectors, one of them located higher then the other. The circular ramparts are well-preserved and reach 10 m of height. The ditch is clearly distinguishable, except its southern sector. In its northern part it is still filled with water, which formed a pond east from the earthworks.
To reach the site you need to turn left from the road Poznań - Gniezno, and turn right at the crossing in Moraczewo. The earthworks will be perfectly visible to your left, about 200m from the road.
