Natural Stone / Erratic / Other Natural Feature in Norway

This site is a old sami sacrificial site, the name means "The troll's rock" in norwegian. It consists of a huge natural shaped boulder that fell from the nearby mountainside long ago.
It is about 3-4 meters tall and about 8-9 meters in length. When it fell down and hit the ground it probably broke in two large pieces, forming a deep crack in the rock.
This is a typical site of ancient sami worship. I expected to find pieces of animal bones inside the crack, but I could not find any.
This site is a very well-known one for the local people, there are several tracks trough the tick forest leading up to it, but it require a long walk from the main highway, and its almost impossible to find without local guidence. It is inside a tick fir wood, and there are several tracks crossing in every direction from the main path.

When I was at the sight I remember I had read that the people in the old days used to put a coin at the site or a small amount of tobacco to honour the old gods and for good luck, so I did put a coin on the stone, it was raining heavily when I came to the site, but when I put the coin and a small amount of tobacco at the site, the rain suddenly stopped and the sun came up! A coincidence, but it was a funny idea that maybe the old god were happy someone came at a visit and gave him a small sacrifice....
