Anundshög Skeppssättning
Anundshög Skeppssättning submitted by cereus : Badelunda shipshaped stone circles. Probably graves from around 1000 AD. Not excavated. In this area people began to settle 2500 BC. There is more to see here. Among other things a maze. I haven't seen it myself yet. Planning to go there as soon as the snow is gone! (Vote or comment on this photo)
Stone Circles in Västmanland, Sweden

greywether wrote: Badelunda (aka Anundshög) is a wonderful site with a lot to see. It has the highest burial mound in Sweden. Around it are 20 graves and 5 stone ship settings (two of them especially impressive when seen from the large burial mound). There is also a rune stone and a stone row. The latter is not prehistoric but was built in the middle ages to mark the route taken by the King of Sweden on his visit to the area. Also known as Skeppssättning (Ship Setting)
