Wooden Sculpture in Dolnoslaskie

I saw this wooden sculpture a couple of years ago when cruising randomly around the polish countryside. It just stood there next to the road and it must have been around four to six meters tall.

The first I could think of was; a "Polish Viking Totem pole"! Mainly because it reminded me of the few decorated wooden artefacts found after Vikings. It could also be the face of a very early Teutonic knight or something, because of its location in these German-Polish cross-lands.

I have no idea who made it, when it was made or for what purpose. I was lost when I took the picture and so the exact location has also been lost. I must also admit that I used Photoshop to enhance its features from a dark photograph. The left side now appears blue instead of the original dark brown, but the effect is pretty cool!

Position of the site unknown, co-ordinates given for the nearest town.
