Barrow Cemetery in Honshū
One and only push-button shaped (hemisphere on a rectangular basement) tumulus in Tōhoku (north-eastern) area of Japan, excavated in 2004. The mound is so low and the eastern part was removed by path, only the paved pebbles showed its original shape. Now the mound is buried back into the earth, a crocked cedar tree indicates its position. Signposted.
