Kvistadvika settlement
Kvistadvika settlement submitted by kenntha88 : This is a beautiful burial mound! it is large, about 20 metres across, a clear "ditch" around its edge and a very pretty rounded top. (Vote or comment on this photo)
This site is an iron age/viking age settlement. It consists of three separate burial fields, one with very huge burial mounds, round barrows, long barrows and cairns.

It is also consists of wall markings for three separate long houses, and also two boat houses.

The area shows in total a very well preserved settlement from the iron age, and has consisted of a farm in a considerable size.

The site lies in a beautiful pine tree and bjørk forest and the nature around is very beautiful!;)

A footpath has been created by the locals and they have also set up signs and posters for people interested in taking a walk through the park.
