Chapel and the Saint Procopius well is the ancient place of pilgrimage. According local legend from the 11th century duke Oldřich met the holy man Prokopius here who made a miracle and turned water into wine. All the area of the Sázava is strongly related to the hermit St. Prokopius (For another interesting legend see the topic Devil's Groove.) Originaly wooden chapel was rebuilt by monks of Sázava Monastery in 1713.
