Barrow Cemetery Hemery is one of the largest barrow cemeteries in southern Bohemia.
This prehistoric nekropolis was used over period of 1000 years ... from 1600 BC (Middle Bronze Age) to 450 BC (Hallstatt Time). On the contrary to other such sites in this region, "Hemery" barrows are well preserved till present days. Rich archeological findings include ceramic vessels, bronze and iron weapons, jewellery and glass beads. Most of the 98 barrows is hidden in the dense pine forest called "Hemery", but some pretty huge cairns are clearly visible and well accessible.
