This 2m tall stone stela weighing 1,4t was found inside the archaeological location at Libenice in early 1960s. Because of its precise placing there, it is suppose to be the menhir. The site is about 60km east from Prague.

After examination the stone was moved to the courtyard of archeological institute in Prague's Malá Strana where it stands till now.

Hi, be so kind and change the name to Stela from Libenice. I just found that Libenice Menhir already exists but is different object and location. So just to avoid misunderstanding. thanks Ladrin

Change it please to "Stele from Libenice" (stele...like stone pillar) or simply "Libenice stone" its up tu you. The location ist correct, it is in the centre of the Prague in the yard of the archeology institut. I was there several days ago. This stone was moved a long time ago from the place called Libenice. And in the Libenice stands another stone...modern one.
      Thanks and sorry for troubles

Changed it to "Libenice Stela" now. Hope this makes sense as it includes (original) location and type of monument. Thank you.
