The larger one of 15 metres internal length was constructed in the Ggantija phase, the smaller, only 6.5 metres, was added in the Saflieni phase. The south-east entrance of the larger temple has two huge trilithons each with a capstone that was restored after excavation. The façade in front of the entrance is horned-shaped with the western arc extending for 10 metres. It is constructed of two rows of large megaliths with rubble infill. A short flight of steps connecting the two temples was also a post-excavation reconstruction.
Note: Two megalithic temples to re-open and how Malta could benefit from its prehistoric heritage - see comments.
