Natural Stones in Brandenburg, Berlin

2 large boulders on a hill. The Markgrafensteine boulders are the largest boulders in Germany. In the 19th century the larger one cut off into pieces. But there is still a smaller part of it visible ( still 19m circumference !) One of the pieces was transformed into a huge stone-bowl in front of the "Altes Museum" in Berlin. Newest researches found evidences that this site was (from roman historian Tacitus described!) the main sanctuary of the germanic tribe of the Semnones.
