in Honshū
One of numerous Kofun burial mounds which lie along the left bank of Tama-gawa river that separates Tōkyō metropolis and Kanagawa prefecture. Sengen Jinja shrine, which worships Mt.Fuji, was built on the mound during 12th C, and the mound had been modified into a miniature Fuji, and now it is difficult to distinguish the original shape of mound : keyhole.
In 2016 monster movie “Shin Godzilla”, Japanese Self Defense Force set up the defensive headquarter on this Kofun against Godzilla approaching to Tōkyō metropolis, but failed.
