Polissoirs in Honshū.
Two standing stones with straight engravings which are supposed to be used to make jade, agate and other gems into embryo-like Magatama shape. They stand in a historical park around an 'Ichiri-zuka'. Ichiri-zuka (一里塚) were the mounds built every 4km indicating the distance from Edo (archaic name for Tōkyō ) for the travelers who walked the Tokaidō road which connects Edo and Kyōto.
"Tama-Toishi" means 'whetstone for MagaTAMA'.
