A temple belongs to Tiantai school, whose abbot were the ex-member of imperial family and also possesses the famous sight seeing spot "Sanjūsangen-dō" the 120m long temple with 1001 buddhist statues.
The main gardens are the ones with ponds, and the small garden behind the entrance (formerly the dining hall) building is a dry landscape garden with stones.
Only open to public on May 14 (admission free) and special opening days in spring annd autumn (admission 800 Japanese Yen, 2024 price).
