Temple in Honshū
Shitennō-ji is one of the oldest Buddhist temple in Japan. Among its numerous building in its precinct, Kamei-dō (亀井堂 tortoise fountain pavilion) contains a tortoise-shaped water-supply monument which resembles the one in Asuka village Nara prefecture recently (photographing of the monument is prohibited). The temple also contains a dry landscape garden.
Garden:8:30-16:30(-16:00 Oct.-Mar., 30min extend on 21st in every month), admission 200 Japanese Yen (2024 price).
