A huge stone in a wood near Kurokawa cave. Once it was suspected as a dolmen but is a natural rock without any burial facilities.
Takamori Saigō (西郷隆盛) was a local hero with a strong frame in Satsuma domain (now Kagoshima prefecture) who participated in the Meiji Restoration (defeat of shognate government and modernization of Japan) but later was miss-disgraced as a traitor and eliminated by his Meiji government tragically. "Gyoza-ishi" means 'Stool stone'.
