Flaezstein submitted by KaiHofmann : The 3 probable cup-marks of the Flaezstein. (Vote or comment on this photo)
Natural Stone / Erratic / Other Natural Feature in Brandenburg, Berlin

A boulder located close to the medieval church of Berlin/Buckow. Many local myths are connected with it. "Flaez" means something like "slipping" in the local Berlin dialect. The stone was called "slipping" stone in the last centuries, used be young people. Today some parts of the stone are destroyed. There is still a slab in the ground which has some traces of human activity on it's surface. It was probably a cup-marked stone (Bronze Age or Iron Age). 3 probable cup-marks might be found on the surface, but it is not clear if they are natural or man-made. At the main door of the medieval church some cup-marks could be found as well. There is possibly a connection between both sites.
