Ancient Temple in South Korea
Behind the village of Hwacheon-dong, 5km eastbound from the centre of Yeongyang town, there stands a fine 3-storied stone pagoda with reliefs of 12 Chinese zodiac animal-headed men on the 1st basement layer and that of Buddhist images on the 2nd basement layer and 1st upper layer.
Yeongyang, known for its speciality ‘red chilli pepper’, is an isolated town, there is no railway station it takes 4 hours from Seoul by not-frequent bus.
