Like Eunhyeonni-ni cairn, it is not clear if this cairn is a chambered cairn or a Buddhist pyramid. It is called in Korea generally, “‘So-called’ mausoleum of King Guhyeong”. King Guhyeong was the last king of Geumgwan Gaya which was a member of the Gaya confederacy i.e. small kingdoms on the southern shore of the Korean peninsula, annexed by United Silla Kingdom.
His great grandson is Gim Yusin, a general of Silla who overthrew other surviving Baekje and Goguryeo kingdoms on Korean peninsula. The monuments in front of the site are tributes by the King’s worshippers of later age, not simultanous.
It has 7 storeys, a hollow on the 4th storey and surrounding enclosure. It is curiously piled on a slope like Buheung-sa and Sajiwonni-ni pyramids.
