Nakamoto family’s dry landscape garden of coral lime stone has been modified into public park recently, so anyone can visit there 24 hours. As a result, some travel writers confuse that this garden belongs to Tōrin-ji (桃林寺) temple across the road. Although the texture of line stones is peculiar, the arrangement of the stones i.e. the stone bridge and dry cascade resembles the dry landscape gardens in other Japanese regions.
There is another residence with dry landscape garden of coral lime stones, “Ishigaki Family Residence (石垣氏庭園)” just 100m away(24.34456N,124.15545E), but it is not open to public nowadays although it had been operated as a youth hostel in the old days.
