Ancient Temple in Sicily (Sicilia)
Temple in former Greek colony which was sacked by carthaginians in 409 BCE and was destroyed for good in 250 BCE by an Earthquake.
This was the 2nd largest of the 5 temples at this part of the site, with 6 by 13 Doric columns measuring 56 Meters by 24 Meters, and dates to the early 6th Century. The temple, to which a deity cannot be allocated, has not been restored.
