Cist in Halland

Information from a plaque at the site:

"The Dwarf House cist is constructed of large stone slabs; one of the slabs has a so-called gable hole which is typical of western Sweden.

The name is derived from an ancient belief that the cist was a dwelling for dwarfs.

Cists of this type are usually dated to the late Stone Age (1800-1500 BC). They were inhumation graves for several burials."
