Information from a plaque at the site:
"The Dwarf House cist is constructed of large stone slabs; one of the slabs has a so-called gable hole which is typical of western Sweden.
The name is derived from an ancient belief that the cist was a dwelling for dwarfs.
Cists of this type are usually dated to the late Stone Age (1800-1500 BC). They were inhumation graves for several burials."
