StrangeIdeas visited on 13th Oct 2015 - their rating: Access: 5 The mound is in the grounds of a house, which has been converted into holiday flats. The house has a date stone of 1903 and appears to be a converted farmhouse. The old trees on the mound have been cut down and the grass is now mowed. Some new trees have been planted.
As the mound is in the grounds of a house there is a modern fence stopping members of the public from entering. Inside the grounds there are some small steps to aid getting to the top. The front of the mound has a small stone on it with a crown and two letters.

Further it had a spiral path (sneglegang) to the top of the barrow, but like it's seen now a path straight to the top has been made by visitors.
The official description also mention that there once was placed a modern Dolmen at the top, that later had been destroyed. Large stones at the foot of the barrow probably once were part of that modern dolmen.
In my opinion the site is in need for som maintenance and restoration.

Danshøj
Danshøj is a Round Barrow and is the only existent burial mound in the Copenhagen Municipality. It was declared protected in 1922 and have a circumference of 32 meters and a height of 6 meters.
The famous Danish cartoonist Storm P. aka. Robert Storm Petersen (1882-1949) lived in a period of his childhood at Vigerslevstræde, where his father had acquired a farm. In the childhood memories of Storm P. this Danshøj was situated in their garden when he was a child. I can't tell if his memory fails him a little, or if their garden actually was that large.
Danshøj is visible in Google StreetView.
