Kallerupstenen
Kallerupstenen submitted by NeolithicFanatic : The rune stone is situated in the local cemetery along the northern boundary wall. (Vote or comment on this photo)
Situated in the cemetery of the town of Hedehusene stands a runestone. The stone is known as "Kallerupstenen" as it was originally found in Kallerup, north of Hedehusene, in 1827. The stone was discovered in 1827 when a stone mason was looking through a collection of large boulders in a field and noticed the inscription on the stone. The stone was placed near three damaged stone settings of unknown origin - most theories believe them to be stone ships.

The stone is believed to be from sometime between 700 CE and 800 CE, making it one of Danmark's oldest rune stones. Originally after the stone was discovered, it stood for many years at the side of the local country road, but due to school boys damaging the stone, it was later moved to its current position, in the cemetery, in 1921.

Cup marks from the late Stone Age or the Bronze Age are also seen on the stone.
