Carving in Indonesia
The Yeh Pulu stone relief is located in the Bedulu village not far from Ubud in Bali. It is a 25m long and 3m high carved stone relief, dated around the 14th century during the reign of the Majapahit Empire (1293 – 1527 AD). There is one interpretation that it depicts tales of the Hindu deity Krisna, other interpretation state that the scenes show day to day life in Bali at this time. There is a really nice write up on the details at the following website: thetempletrail.com
The site is not as frequently visited as the Goa Gajah (Elephant cave) close by and there is a really nice cafe at the entrance with good food and nice juices
