Chambered Tomb in Saxony-Anhalt, Heringsberg translates as 'herring hill'. The massive chamber was originally covered by a barrow, 70m diameter and 10m high.

The barrow is largely removed, but the chamber still partly embedded into remains of it and largely filled with earth. It is of trapezoidal shape, oriented SW-NE. Length is at least 9m, width over 3m at the NE-part. At least the NE-end orthostat is missing. It is hard or impossible to reach the site during growing season. Thanks to the “Arbeitskreis Archäologie im Bernburger Land e.V.” an excellent information panel was set up at the site.
