Hillfort in Bavaria

This hillfort in Bavaria was the largest known settlement north of the Alps in Bronze Age - it covered 13 hectares with a 1.6km long wall. In 1998 the amateur-archaeologists found some very important gold- and amber- artifacts on this site. The gold-artifacts were parts of a crown, a tiara and other parts of royal clothes. On one side of the two amber-artifacts was a human face with beard and one the other side of both were some ancient Mycenaean letters - "pa-nwa-ti" and "do-ka-me" . The 1st word means the name of an ancient tribe or the name "Panwati" an ancient "Archon", means a ruler or lord. The meaning of the other word is not sure.
