This tomb belongs to the type of the passage graves and is
oriented northeast-southwest. The grave consisted of 14 wall
and several capstones (of the latter only one survived), surrounded
by a trapezoidal enclosure. This is no longer completely intact and still
consists of 19 stones. Its current length is about 26 m, but is estimated
to originally 54 m. The former width was between 5.5 and at least 7.3 m.
In the Southwest today is still one of the original two "guardian stones"
found that dominates the other kerbstones significantly.
It measures 2.1 × 1.6 × 0.8 m.
The actual burial chamber has a rectangular plan and has a length of 7.4 m
and in width from 1.6 to 1.7 m. Height is about 1.6 m.
The only remaining capstone measures 2.2 × 1.4 × 0.4 m.
The chamber is at the north end of its southeast side accessed via a passage.
This consists of four stone wall, a capstone is missing.
The passage is from 0.6 to 0.8 m wide and 1.0 m high, its length is 2.3 m.
The floor is covered with three threshold stones at a distance of 1.3 and 1.0 m.
The tomb has been restored several times.
A megalith full of cupmarks has been put to the SW end of the chamber,
it was found close to the tomb.
The tomb is build with very large stones. Easy to be found in the centre of Winterfeld in a backyard near the church.
