The Villashaugen barrow is a large round barrow close to a large farm called Gislevoll. The farm and area around is known for several findings from the stone age and up to the late iron age. A number of stone, bronze and iron artifacts have been dug up over the years in this are and there have also been other burials in the area. Most of these have been lost over the years.
The round barrow is 27 metres in diameter and around 2 metres in height. It has a flattened top. The barrow was excavated in 1843 and it was found a burned burial from the 800s with a complete weapon set and also male and female jewelry. The barrow has only a few larger trees on it and short cut grass so it is easy to see from a long distance away.
