The National Museum of Indonesia is an archaeological, historical, ethnological and geographical museum located in central Jakarta. Its broad collections cover all of Indonesia's territory and most of its history. The stelae shown here are inscribed with prashasti (praise in Sanskrit) - a genre of inscriptions composed by poets in praise of their rulers. Most date from the 6th century CE onwards.

Written in the form of poetry or ornate prose, the prashastis stereotypically constructed a genealogy, the ruler's attributes, eulogize victories, piety and typically ended with one or more announcements of generous gifts and rewards he has given. More about prashasti at Wikipedia

Museum Nasional
Museum Nasional submitted by megajo : This Padrao is a supplement to the agreement between a Sundanese king, Prabu Surawisesa and Henrique Leme, which was previously written on paper dated 21 August 1522. Padrao was built at a place promised to be the construction site of a fort, namely in Calapa (Sunda Kalapa). The promised fort never transpired as Calapa fell under the rule of Demak's army, led by Fatahillah.

Wikipedia has an article about this Prasasti: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anjuk_Ladan...

Museum Nasional
Museum Nasional submitted by megajo : Prasasti Selorejo stela stone. It was been broken to many pieces, and then stuck back together in modern times. Very sad. There is no description by the Museum about what was written on the stela, nor the estimated age. I am unable to find any meaningful article about this Prasasti. Photos taken in March 2023.

Museum Nasional submitted by megajo : Prasasti Tapan (1129 & 1134 AD) . It is a rectangular stone stela with inscriptions in "Quadratic Kadiri Style".
