Burial Chamber (Dolmen) in Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg

Situated in the SW corner of the forest, easily accessible from the tracks to the west and south. The chamber is clearly visible but the dimensions of the surrounding mound are uncertain.

As the western end is robbed, the orginal length cannot be determined without further investigation. Several stones were blown to pieces and robbed. The northern longside has preserved 5 orthostats in situ (N1 to N5 counting from the detectable eastern chamber end). According to Sprockhoff the orthostat marked PE? was an orthostat of the lateral passage. 3 orthostats of the southern longside are preserved. One capstone is fallen into the chambe...
