The Dolmen was discovered in 1972 and restored in 1975. The plaque says the dolmen dates to 2000 BCE, though this seems a little late for this type of monument. Smallish 1.5 metres by 1.9 metres dolmen with unusually rounded cap stone, surrounded by 6 boulder sized uprights and surrounded by large vestigial tumulus.

The dolmen was discovered in 1972 and restored in 1975. The plaque says the dolmen dates to 2000 BCE, though this seems a little late for this type of monument.

It's not next to the sports enter. According to the ADAC Braunschweig map it puts it next to the sports center too. From the sports center,continue on Steinbeker Str. At the roundabout co true ahead. Just before the Main Street on the right is the stone. There is no place to park, unless your bold enough to park in the bus stop just short of the stone.
