Size of the stylized elks (most common interpretation) various between 30cm and 50cm. The site is difficult to reach especially when the river is flooded. The carvings nowadays are painted in to ease visibility from the shoreline.

Additional info by Kenntha88 in September 2017:
This site is a good long walk from a parking lot on the hillside overlooking the river Gudbrandsdalslågen. It is a signpost that shows the path leading down the steep hill and through the forest about one kilometer all the way down to the edge of the river.
The rock art panel is located on a small vertical rock outcrop going into the river itself. When I visited the site I was not equipped for going into the cold water itself so I had to step on a rock and lean out to get any photographs at all! The carvings have probably once been carved from a boat on the vertical cliff. The carvings are so close to the water so they are probably easier to visit when the water level in the river is lower or frozen in winter! I have seen other photos where the water level is so low that someone could easily walk all the way up to the carvings. The site also has a beautiful view over the river even with some large rocky outcrops hanging over the path looks kind of dangerous!
In the 60s the large rock outcrop was about to crack and fall down into the river, so the rock was repaired with concrete and steel bars to avoid this to happen.
The carvings consists of 7 elk or raindeer figures. The largest animal around 45cm long. None of the animal carvings are pictured with horns so there are theories they are oxen or cows but the carvings are believed to be from stone age, about 4000 to 6000 years ago. They are typical for the hunter/gathering carvings from the stone age. The carvings were painted red in the 60s so they are easier observable.
