The hillfort has had a natural boundary in the N, W and SE, where the terrain is steep. In areas where access is easier, there are remains of walls. These are relatively well preserved. 3 walls can be found at the North East side of the hill where the terrain falls relatively gently towards the E, down to an old road in the south. 4 possible gates/passage barriers are also recorded, as well as 2 waterholes on the top of the plateau. A footpath leads from the local road and up to the hillfort.
Wall 1: The wall furthest to the N is 20 m long and is oriented NNW/SE. The wall is approx. 3 m wide, and is extended towards the East. It consists of a dry wall that is covered with moss. This wall may have formed the outer ring wall together with wall 2.
Wall 2: Located approx. 20 m SE of the demarcation to wall 1. This is the longest wall at the hillfort and it first bends slightly to the west, then it bends towards (SE east), then continues SE (straight south). Consists of larger stone blocks with some rounded blocks and quarry stone. The stones are larger and coarser here than in wall 1. Stone rubble to the south of wall 2 that might have fallen down from the wall. The size of the stones is mostly below 50 x 50 cm in diameter. The wall is well preserved, somewhat collapsed to the east. Dimensions: length approx. 110 m, width 2-3.8 m, height 0.3-0.7 m. The area between wall 1 and 2 may have been a gate.
Wall 3: Parallel to wall 1, from the midpoint of wall 1 and SE to the portal, lies approx. 5 m SW of wall 1. May be part of inner ring wall. The stones are approx. 30 x 30 cm in diameter, consists of round and quarry stones. The wall is covered with moss and is exposed to the east. The wall is straight and is oriented NNW/SE. Length 27 m, width 2.2 m, height 0.5 - 0.7 m. Some possible brick remains have been observed W, and E of wall 1, but these are presumably excavated mass or natural formations.
At the southern end of Frøsås, 4 possible passage barriers have been registered. These are located in the pass between the knolls around some natural ravines leading up on the hill. 2 lies in the pass on the W edge of the hill. 60 m N of this pass there is a possible water source. The second pass is located approx. 50 m east of the previous mentioned, and here there are 2 possible passage barriers. These are approx. 5 m E/W and consist of large quarry stones approx. 1 x 1 m in diameter.
