Museum in Trondheim.
This is the site of the church of Saint Olav built around 1030AD. It was mentioned in the sagas and said to contain the body of the Norwegian king Olav Haraldsson, later St.Olav.

Nobody knew where the ruins of the old church was, until they started building the library in the city of Trondheim, when construction started, they stumbled upon an old cemetery from the early middle ages, when digging proceeded, they found remains of the south wall of a middle age construction. It was believed to be the remains of the church of Saint Olav.

The building of the city's library continued, but they built a walkway over the remains of the wall and the part of the cemetery. Today you can go into the library's main entrance and pass over a walkway and look down at the old walls inside the modern library. Some of the graves have been put on display after excavation and you can see some of the skeletons laid in the exact places they were found with a glass plate over them.

This is a very interesting site and is easily accessed through the entrance of the library. Visitors to Trondheim are recommended to visit this site.
