The hill has steep sides to the South, West, North and East. The slope is somewhat gentler to the South East. Here, there is wall of quarried stone, remains of foundations for palisades? The stones were probably taken from a part of the hill below where the foundation has now been excavated. From North and East, it is possible to reach the top through narrow passes. The Borg plateau is hilly with knolls and running depressions in between the rocky outcrops.
A footpath leads from a local road and up trough the steep pass over the collapsed wall and up to the top. Another pass leading up to the top to the south west also seems to have a collapsed wall blocking the passage to the top. The hill is so steep to all sides that there would not be needed to have other walls than the ones blocking the passes. From the top of Skånevetan it is a beautiful view to the south and south west!
