The Rhumequelle is a karst spring in Rhumspringe (Lower Saxony, Germany). It is the well of the Rhume river. Archaeological finds in the sediments of the well lake suggest that the site was used as sanctuary since 6000 BC.

The finds strongly suggest that the objects, like e.g. flint stone axes and decorated pieces of pottery, were intentionally thrown into the well. Therefore, this site is a rare example of a sanctuary of the Linear Pottery Culture. The site was used for a long time, because also objects made of Bronze and Iron were found.
